STATE BOUND! Congratulations to Our TCHS Warrior Chess Team!
Good morning, TCUSD Family!
I wanted to start the week by sharing some GREAT news and another reason to be proud to be a Warrior! Our TCHS Warrior Chess Team is STATE BOUND! This past weekend, our students competed at the State Team Qualifier Tournament and officially punched their ticket to the 2026 AIA State Team Chess Championship this November at Coconino High School!
What makes this even more special is that TCHS is the only reservation school to qualify for State. That is something our students, staff, families, and the entire community can be incredibly proud of. These students earned this opportunity through preparation, dedication, teamwork, and a commitment to getting better. A huge thank you to their coaches and everyone who continues to support our Chess Program and create opportunities for our students to succeed.
If you see one of our Chess Team members, please congratulate them! Let them know we see them; we are proud of them, and the entire Warrior family is behind them.
Congratulations, Warriors! Now go represent Tuba City at STATE!
Stronger Together,
